Matt Veronica - Physical Therapist/Coach
Tonawanda native Matt Veronica attended Kenmore East High School before attending D’Youville College, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Studies and Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Matt was a 2-sport NCAA athlete at D’Youville, playing 4 years of soccer and baseball for the school.
In addition to being a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Matt also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Matt gained invaluable experience working in the Buffalo Bills Strength and Conditioning department from 2012 to 2015. His duties with the team included assisting in team fitness and nutrition during games, practices, and workouts through exercise instruction, spotting, soft-tissue work, stretching, hydration, and food management throughout phases of the seasons. While in graduate school, Matt was a personal trainer at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center.
With his experience of training and providing therapy to a wide variety of age groups and performance levels, his passion is allowing all athletes to be able to reach their full potential of performance, health, and enjoyment using a combination of manual therapy, corrective exercises, and patient education.
Matt’s personal performance interests include playing and training for hockey, soccer, and baseball, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and Crossfit.
